I have very sensitive teeth, i guess because the other night it hurt so bad and wouldnt go away, i had to take an iburprofen, but then i felt fine. Is there something else i can do to help this?
What can i do about sensitive teeth?
Oh I know the feeling! Use Sensodyne toothpaste daily. It really helps. You can also go have some enamal put on your teeth at the dentist but I hear that is expensive.
Reply:Sensodyne toothpaste is decent. My dentist told me to rub the paste on at night before bed.
Reply:Gargle with salt water. Maybe switch to Sensodyne.
Reply:You can try some toothpastes that are good for sensitive teeth.
Reply:you should see your dentist, if this sensitivity was very recent. In the meantime, you can brush with something meant for sensitive teeth, like Sensodyne or Aquafresh Sensitive.
Reply:If you are not doing so already, you should see a dentist or periodontist about this issue. There can be many reasons why your teeth are so sensitive... you can also try using Sensodyne toothpaste and a "soft" headed tooth brush.
Reply:do not eat things that are too cold or hot
Reply:I have always had sensitive teeth so I but the sensidyne tooth past and it really works good for me, u should try that. But yes if u have cavidies that could diffenitly play a roll in the pain, I would go get thoughs fixed and then see how u feel.
Reply:You need to get the cavities filled ASAP, I know they are small now but they will only get bigger. If cold or hot causes the pain, or they just start hurting on their own that is an indicator that you may need root canal therapy. If neither of those things are happening you may want to consult with your DDS about placing a varnish on you teeth (don't worry it's clear) its also sometimes called a desensitizer that will protect your teeth from being so sensitve. It's not that expensive either.Good Luck
Reply:You have pain, not sensitivity.
So it's probably asign of infection in the pulp, which would be treated by Root canal.
Go get a dental exam.
