Is a Sonicare toothbrush good for sensitive teeth?

I normally use a low-abrasive toothpaste and a very soft toothbrush because of my sensitive teeth.

Would a Sonicare toothbrush be better or worse for this?

Thanks.

The Sonicare is a wonderful toothbrush for folks who have sensitivity! It sounds and feels different if you are brushing too hard, which many of us do. I used to have lots of sensitivity but since I switched to the Sonicare 5 years ago, I've noticed a HUGE difference.
Reply:Yes, the plaque on your teeth causes sensitivty. The sonicare will remove the plaque better around the gumline.
Reply:I have sensitive teeth and use Sonicare. My dentist said that it is the best brush on the market.

It is programmed to be really gentle the first 15 brushings. It gradually works up until full force/effectiveness.

I haven't had any problems since I started using mine 6 months ago. (I do use the sensitive toothpaste though.) Actually, I think it does a better job of cleaning than a regular toothbrush!
Reply:If your teeth are sensitive because of receding gums, I wouldn't advise using a sonicare. It could make them recede faster.
Reply:Yes, a low vibrating tooth brush will be perffect for sensitive teeth. but it can also depend on how sensitive. if it is really really sensitive, it might now.
