Are sensitive teeth and sore gums a pregnancy symptom?

I went to the dentist a few months ago and had some fillings done. Everything was fine until recently my gums are swollen and slightly sore and my teeth are sensitive to pressure, hot and cold. I've had other pregnancy symptoms as well such as nausea and increased sense of smell.

I am trying to conceive so pregnancy is entirely possible.

Are sensitive teeth and sore gums a pregnancy symptom?
Yes, definitely. By the time I was 2 months pregnant, I could no longer wear my retainer because it was plastic and it applied pressure to my gums and it made them so sore and bleed. Just make sure you go to the dentist every 6 months and let them know you are pregnant so they take the proper precautions with x-rays. Good luck!
Reply:The only way to know of course is to test, but yes bleeding and sensitive gums can be a pregnancy symptom (usually a bit into the pregnancy) because of the increased blood flow.
Reply:Yes...that might be the problem. My last pregnancy...ohh my gumbs and teeth hurted!!! I hope you get you BFP!!!! Good luck %26amp; god bless!!!!
Reply:Yup, Just make sure to spend alot of time brushing ur gums good or they will get weak. Good Luck!
Reply:Yes. I had a tooth bother me through out my first pregnancy...hot and cold sensitive. Once I had her it stopped.
Reply:Bleeding gums are common in pregnancy as they are more sensitive to the bacteria in your mouth due to all of your hormones. Make sure to floss daily and brush along the gumline to adequately remove plaque (the white film on your teeth that is filled with lovely bacteria) Check out the American Dental Association link below and it should be helpful to answer some pregnancy and it's relation to your oral health questions:

As for your teeth recently becoming sensitive to hot/cold and pressure, I would highly advise calling your dentist and discuss whether or not an evaluation of these symptoms is needed to rule out any more serious condition. The sensitivity may be due to the fillings, but only your dentist will be able to determine for certain what the cause is. Good luck with your dental concerns and I hope you get a BFP pregnancy test!
Reply:yeah sore gums is one of pregnancy symptoms but did you experience the other symptoms like a missed period, nausea and sickness, backaches, cramps and fatigue if yes you ahve to take a test
