Can my teeth also be sensitive to sugar?

i have sensitive teeth that hurt when i have hot or cold foods...and its only four of my teeth that hurt when i have sweet foods...it doesn't hurt when i eat other foods so i ruled out cavity(im not a dentist) should i visit my dentist??or can i fix my problem myself?

Can my teeth also be sensitive to sugar?
Sometimes sweets cause my teeth to be sensitive. The sensitivity in my mouth is from one of my teeth that has the gums slightly receeding on it. So, it doesn't necessarily have to be a cavity. But, if you're not sure, go to the dentist.
Reply:See a dentist. If sugar causes teeth to hurt, there are probably cavities.
Reply:if it hurts when you eat something sweet, it is mosy likly a cavity, you gotta go in and see you dentist. good luck!!
Reply:Don't be so fast to rule out decay. Sensitive teeth to hot, cold and sweets is an indication of decay. I'm sorry but there is no way possible that you can "fix" your teeth. You'll have to do like everyone else and let the dentist do his job. Make an appointment soon to see your dentist so he can further evaluate these teeth. Don't wait too long to see your dentist, the longer you wait, the further along these decayed areas become and the more costly they are also. Good luck with your up coming procedures.
