How to help sensitive teeth?

I've just had my teeth whitened and everytime I used the 'at home kit' that I have to use until next week my teeth are unbearably sensitive. I've taken some neurofen to ease it but i need another non-toothpaste/chemical solution.

I really can't stand it. I have to carry on with the treatment because it's for an article I'm writing (I'm a journalist) so any home medicine ideas you guys have would be great.

Thanks guys

have it checked by your dentists, he might be able to give proper treatments for highly sensitive teeth. consult a dental expert first before getting your teeth whiter. it is best that you get an at home teeth whitening treatment that contains high quality ingredients to avoid gum irritation which is associated with tooth sensitivity. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on getting teeth whiter and protected.
Reply:soda! baking soda

u rub it on your teeth

works like magic
Reply:Try to eat foods that are not too sensitive to your teeth
Reply:Have you tried using Sensodyne Toothpaste? It's made for snsitive teeth.
Reply:"Biotene" products also work well.

Maybe you should stop with the whitening kits - you could be allergic?
Reply:As u mentioned u harm your teeth by whithening ....Do not use any sort of tooth paste for a while.Just brush your teeth (in front of mirror) %26amp; make sure u ve cleaned every corner..

Some times tooth pastes do harm .the only thing that they do is to fresh ones breath for a short while...the way u brush is much more important..do that regularlly after each meal without tooth paste.
Reply:I've heard of suffering on the job, but unless you want additional whitening I'd take a break from the bleach.

Sensitivity is a common reaction (along with irritated gums) but it generally goes away in a few days to a few weeks. Desensitizing toothpastes such as Sensodyne, Denquel, Aquafresh sensitive teeth will help, but need a few weeks to be really effective.

Good luck,
