Does anyone know how to get rid of sensitive teeth?

I've had sensitive teeth for about 2 years. It hurts EVERYTIME I eat or drink something cold.

I've used tooth paste that's meant to get rid of sensitive teeth, but it doesn't work. I've also asked the dentist, that didn't help too :(

I'm getting really fed up with it, can anyone help me please???

Does anyone know how to get rid of sensitive teeth?
The toothpaste for sensitive teeth should work. It takes awhile though. Have you kept using it for weeks?

I had brushed to hard on one place, and it hurt like crazy. The dentist looked and looked, and found it was the gum. I used the stuff for awhile, then it started working great.

Make sure you aren't brushing too hard, which irritates the gums.
Reply:just keep punching your mouth, and sensitive or not, theyll go away
Reply:You need to change your dentist. Find a new dentist and go just for this reason. A dentist really should be able to help you with this problem or at least refer you to someone who can.
Reply:Go to another dentist and get a second opinion. It might be that you have lost an outer layer of enamel which would make your teeth more sensitive. If you have lost that layer your teeth can actually be painted with a sealer that would help fix the problem.

I find that another contributing factor to tooth sensitivity is sinus problems. The sinuses can become or stay(as in my case) so congested that the pressure on the jaw bone makes your teeth hurt.
Reply:In there, I say change dentists. I used to think all dentists were the same, find one that cares.
